Bill Nix, BlueStar VP of Global Distribution
Florence, KY—BlueStar, the leading innovator in solutions-based distribution for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, RFID, and Mobility products, is proud to announce the promotion of Bill Nix to the position of BlueStar Vice President of Global Distribution.
Nix will lead BlueStar’s international business development in all regions outside of the U.S. and Canada, including adding more vendors’ products to BlueStar’s line card internationally, and expanding BlueStar’s international presence.
“I am fortunate to have international experience in the channel, and look forward to working closely with both our suppliers and customers to extend their reach into BlueStar’s international expansion,” says Nix.
Nix comes to BlueStar with 12 years of experience in the AIDC industry. He most recently held the position of Director of Global Channel Marketing & Sales in BlueStar. Prior to joining the BlueStar team, he held the title of Chief Operating Officer at TSC where he coordinated operations between the company’s factories based in China and Taiwan, and established an international sales organization in North and South America as well as Europe.
Nix has also held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for six years at Datamax where he managed over 70 employees in four offices, including the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Also while at Datamax, Nix initiated a “hunter” sales strategy that increased sales by double digits over three years and negotiated sales contracts by channel in over 90 countries.
