Floor Covering, Tile and Mastic Removal by The Mack Group, LLC
The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos abatement and floor covering removal contractor, recently completed a finished floor mastic and glue removal project. The project was performed at a Mall in New Jersey.
The MACK Group, LLC (MACK) was contracted to remove finished floor mastic and glue from five (5) of the mall entrance ways. The estimated quantity of glue and mastic that needed to be removed was approximately 8,000 square feet. The glue and mastic was adhered to the concrete floor which would normally make removal difficult. However, MACK has special floor covering removal equipment and experienced technicians to make removal fairly easy.
MACK used a combination of proprietary flooring removal machines that they own in their fleet. Terminator flooring removal machines and Blastrac (Shot Blast) machines were utilized to remove the glues and mastics. The flooring removal machines have zero emissions and fumes allowing for use in restricted ventilation areas. These machines allowed MACK to easily remove the floor tile and mastic down to the original concrete floor surface without damaging the existing concrete.
The project was completed without incident or injury.
