Digital Artist Joshua Warren AKA J. Warren Joins Optimus Entertainment

PRLog (Press Release) – Nov 19, 2008 – Joshua Warren, better known as J. Warren, is a dynamic artist that truly personifies gospel music at its best. Joshua was born on October 13, 1984 and raised in Miami, FL. Joshua was brought up in a Christian home, where his parents were both Pastors. “We are a Bible based family!” Joshua says. Nothing was tolerated that was contrary to the Word of God. Joshua was taught to put and keep God first at all times. Joshua’s upbringing is one of the main reasons he is a man of God today.

Joshua has graduated with his degree in Engineering from Miami-Dade College. His studies are directed to Sound Engineering/ Creative Production/ and Technical Engineering. Also, Joshua is expanding his knowledge in the Word of God, by attending Faith Christian Center (Jacksonville) Bible Training Center which is under the supervision of Bishop George and Pastor April Davis (Senior Pastors of Faith Christian Center.) Joshua has been around music for the last seven years of his life. His talent became evident and was developed by the Spirit of God at Triumph Ministries, in Miami, under the advisement of Pastor Warren. Joshua was the praise and worship leader there for seven years prior to his move to Jacksonville. Personal trials are what brought Joshua to music. In 2001, Joshua was dealing with the pain of being cut from his high school baseball team because of his faith. God gave Joshua music to help him express the way he felt. At the age of 15 Joshua taught himself how to play the piano in a matter of days. Out of his struggle his first album “Closer” was birthed. Now at the age of 23, Joshua has completed his new Praise and Worship album.

The intense thought that goes into every measure, every beat and every note is what completely separates Joshua from any other. Wanting to make something more than a song, more than just a pretty melody but rather a master piece causes Joshua to engineer, produce and compose on another level. In his own words, Joshua says, “music has to be able to touch an individual’s heart. Music must allow that person that is listening to feel uplifted, and encouraged, so they can find the strength within themselves to make it to the next day.”

Joshua wants the world to know, that music is for everyone, especially worship. In Joshua’s own words, “Worship is for the more mature man and woman, worship is for the younger man and woman, and worship is for the youth and the young children as well. There is no separation of music when it comes to worshipping God.” His goal is Matthew 28:19-20. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” Winning souls to Christ is all that matters to this singer, song writer.
