Santa Claus Train Rides in New Jersey

Gather up the kids and grandparents and have some great Christmas time fun with the VRA's Santa Claus train ride. You will be helping to preserve New Jersey rail transportation history for many generations to come to enjoy.

PRLog (Press Release)Nov 18, 2008 – The Volunteer Railroaders Association is again running their very popular New Jersey Santa Claus Train Rides. All of these trips have been very well received. These holiday decorated train rides are pleasant family fun with the little children enjoying the most! So why not gather up the kids and grandparents and have a great time with Santa?

Wayne - 'Mountain View' station on the Montclair-Boonton Line - December 6th

Glen Rock - 'Boro Hall' station on the Bergen County Line - December 7th


Ticket prices are $13.00 for adults and $9.00 for children under 12 with a 50 cents per ticket discount if purchased online. Proceeds are used for railroad related historical preservation projects.

During the approximately 90 minute ride the Santa Claus will Ho Ho Ho his way through the train and visit each child giving them a special gift from his bag. In addition each child can have their picture taken with Santa Claus so they can always remember their ride, so bring your cameras. On board will be Mrs. Claus and several other surprise cartoon characters sure to entertain the kids and make for a great day out for all on board.

A non profit all volunteer group who's heart is into running public train rides. Funds raised are for the NJ state railroad museum and other local rail related historical preservation projects. Motor car aka speeder trips run for members and the public.
