TCii CEO Terry Irwin addresses business leaders from Monaco on doing business in the UK

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 18, 2008 – London - Terry Irwin, Managing Director of UK based TCii Strategic and Management Consultants, was among the line-up of expert speakers addressing a London gathering of business people from Monaco on Thursday 13 November. The purpose of the event, which took place at the Millennium Hotel in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, Central London, was to enable Monegasque businesses to learn about setting up and developing operations in the UK.

Terry's fellow speakers were Jonathan Riley and Vanessa de Froberville, Partner and Solicitor respectively from law firm LG; Andrew Jones, Senior Tax Consultant at Moore Stephens; and Nick Stephens, Senior Manager Inward Investment at HSBC.

The event was organised by the Chamber of Economic Development of Monaco (CDE), with support from the French-British Chamber of Commerce. The CDE, which is Monaco's chamber of commerce, has around 450 members and rising, representing Monegasque businesses and professions of all types.

Its president is Franck Biancheri, formerly Monaco's Government Counsellor for Finance and the Economy, and currently the Principality's Government Counsellor for External Relations and for International Economic and Financial Affairs.

The CDE's mission is to develop Monaco's economy by:

* promoting the image and the economy of Monaco throughout the world
* creating new business streams for Monegasque companies, and
* encouraging foreign companies to set up in the Principality.

Some 40 CDE members attended the London event to hear Terry Irwin's presentation on "Doing business in the UK", along with presentations on relevant legal and financial issues by the speakers from LG, Moore Stephens and HSBC.
