Ever since Sirius XM changed their programming, social media firm Locket Media has been using web 2.0 techniques to help mobilize a movement online using a blog, Facebook, message boards and cooperation from disenfranchised Sirius XM fans.
Now its time for self expression via YouTube.
Lockett Media is looking for Sirius XM subscribers for "The Reason" campaign. The Youtube campaign will give listeners a chance to express their views about the recent programming changes at Sirius XM.
"I wanted to give a voice to all of you Sirius XM fans who lost their favorite stations like Backspin 43, Strobe, Boombox, The Rhyme 65, etc." says Lockett Media CEO Kevin Lockett.
"I came across a great video from a woman who calmly, but passionate expressed her pleasure of losing the old school Hip Hop channel and figured there were more people like her”.
Interested parties should go to www.youtube.com/
" The Reason I love Backspin is because ...." or "The Reason Sirius needs to bring back Strobe is because...."
"By starting each video with the phrase "The Reason" it gives a unified message, no matter what station they want to bring back" Lockett adds.
