Pundit Peru, a satirical figure born to draw attention to the victims of communal violence in Orissa India has called upon government officials to make public the findings of reports seeking to uncover the miscreants who murdered innocent people in cold blood in Orissa, India, over recent months.
He also demanded the Govt make accountable the local police personnel who failed to contain the lawlessness and protect the innocent.
Speaking to the Press in New York yesterday, he poured scorn over the Indian government labeling it as inefficient and limp and incapable of protecting the poor man in India. "The Indian electorate should be more circumspect in its choice of leaders albeit there isn't much of choice, at the current time."
Noting that nothing had been done to rehabilitate those who fled for fear of losing their lives, Pundit Peru said, "it is a huge leap backward while our regional competitors surge forward on the path of progress."
Commenting on India's recent space victory, he said that in the face of what we have NOT achieved as a country, the space mission means little. The world is laughing at us."
