Ticketmaster finally has tickets available for the ‘Celebration of Change’ concert scheduled for January 17, 2009 at Constitution Hall in Washington DC. The announcement for the concert was first made on November 5, 2008; the day after Obama was elected as the first African American President of the United Sates of American.
The Celebration of Change concert will include a sea of celebrities and appearances from guests such as Activist Rev. Al Sharpton, Grammy and Multi-Award Winners John P. Kee, Regina Belle, Men of Standard, Hezekiah Walker, Kim Burrell, Ami Rushes, Maranda Curtis, Angelo and Veronica and the list continues to grow as other dignitaries are added to the venue.
Gospel Artist John P. Kee was hired to spearhead the Inaugural Celebration in Washington DC., after catching the attention of Donelle Prince, a supporter in the Obama Campaign, during his tour in October. He used his platform to encourage voters to elect Barack Obama as president. Kee is from North Carolina, a state rewarded to Obama during the elections. It was the first time in 32 years that a Democrat won North Carolina since Jimmy Carter in 1976.
