All of the great spiritual traditions direct us toward one place – the place of love, of compassion, of extending an open heart towards all experience. It seems like it should be easy enough, and yet, the obstacles to true and durable loving are persistent and often difficult. The spiritual world talks well the practice of love, but it is so much harder to genuinely Be Love, to Live Love, to Practice Love.
All of us are hurt in love. All of us have felt at least a glimmer of love’s promise and joy.
To Be Love is to keep your heart open and act in integrity even when you feel empty, alone, devastated and hurt.
To Be Love means to keep your heart open, and live large and wise even when your ego brilliantly explains to you why it is okay and even necessary to close your heart and abandon those you once were sure you loved.
To Be Love means to experience ecstasy and profound joy as an ineradicable part of your every day experience for the duration of your lifetime.
How do we practice the wounds of love?
How do we evolve our pain into compassion and transform our wounds into wonder?
How do we integrate the radical rigor of masculine compassion with the radical embrace of feminine compassion?
