Swift Waters artist copperative issued a statement denying that Elvis had visited their store during the recent Willimantic Third Thursday celebration. Swift Waters spokesperson Polly Pureheart stated, “Although we did have an elderly gentleman with large sideburns, a pompadour and swively hips visit the store, we are quite sure that it was not Elvis. We believe the confusion ensued when a customer heard him humming “Hound dog”.
