The dedicated compressed natural gas Chevrolet Impala® retrofitted using the NaturalDrive system is the ideal choice for taxi cabs, fleet vehicles and personal automobiles. It is dependable, efficient, attractive and is the first production CNG sedan to achieve over 350 miles between fill-ups.
Wise Gas, Inc. will be working to form a team of authorized installers throughout Florida who can convert the vehicles and service customers who are interested interested in using clean, affordable, domestic natural gas for transportation.
While Wise Gas, Inc. continues to work towards developing a public fueling infrastructure within the state of Florida, those Florida residents fortunate enough to have natural gas in their homes can refuel the CNG Chevy Impala® using the Phill home refueling appliance which can be installed in the garage. Wise Gas, Inc., whose goal it is to be a “one-stop”

The 2008 NaturalDrive Chevrolet Impala® CNG sedan features a 3.5L V-6 engine (optional 3.9L V-6 engine) and seats 5 passengers in the 4-door model with 14 cubic feet of cargo volume. It holds 10.4 Gasoline Gallon Equivalent standard with an option to increase to 13.0 GGE by adding an additional cylinder.
Natural Gas Vehicles are as safe, if not safer, than gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles when approved conversion systems and cylinders are installed by a properly-trained technician.
Slager added, “The benefits to natural gas as an alternative fuel are a cleaner combustion engine that reduces carbon emissions and a lower fuel expense from a domestic resource.”
