World Speakers Association accepts Georgiann Baldino for membership

Nov. 14, 2008 - PRLog -- In 2005 Baldino partnered with a clinical social worker to create a cancer support group and now serves as co-facilitator for the monthly program at Edward Cancer Center. Baldino combined clinical research with her writing experience to create sessions that help participants explore their needs in a safe, nurturing environment. She regularly speaks at other organizations about the ways journaling becomes self-healing. She gives presentations to groups, ranging in size from small workshops to large public gatherings and tailors each program to meet the needs of individual groups.

Baldino is also the author of three novels and numerous short stories and nonfiction articles. Her most recent project retraces the 1858 debates between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas. In this keynote presentation, general audiences discover why 80,000 constituents flocked to hear Stephen A. Douglas debate Abraham Lincoln. The program spans the 2,100-mile distance between the Illinois debate sites. Baldino gives those able to travel to one or more of the locales an appreciation for the issues and importance of the debates. People unable to travel see highlights from each debate city. Everyone who attends learns how Lincoln’s candidacy aroused the public.

The World Speakers Association communicates the broad range of opportunities available in the professional speaking industry and increases speakers’ skills and knowledge. It also promotes members on the WSA website, through the American Professional Speakers Association, the World Speakers Bureaus Association, and American Association of Speakers Bureaus. They currently serve members and affiliates in 15 countries, including Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, The United Kingdom as well as the United States.
