Hard Rockers Dropclutch Release Debut Music Video

One of the most talked about bands to come out of the northeast in years, Dropclutch exploded onto the Upstate NY underground scene in April 2005 with the release of their self-titled debut EP. The eye catching Binghamton hard rock band is fronted by incomparable showman, Shawn Clutch. Driven by the pounding rhythms of Brandon Schuldt, powerful bass guitar of Josh VanDusen, and the blistering yet tasteful guitar work of Billy Burn, Dropclutch have grown together as friends and musicians over the past several years.

My Island, a performance-only visually driven music video produced and directed by award winning director, Allen M. Gottfried of New Jersey based video production company, Electric Head (www.electricheadonline.com). As luck would have it, Binghamton, New York’s, Dropclutch submitted their new cd, The Reason to WCCR at Rutgers Camden where the directors brother manages the station and hosts a rock show. The CD was so good and generated such a huge response that a copy was passed on to the director. Emotionally moved by the band, performance and energy of the album, Gottfried reached out to Dropclutch and soon signed on to direct the band’s debut music video, My Island.

Dropclutch recently teamed up with producer and recording mastermind Billy Graziadei (Biohazard, Suicide City) to record their first full-length album “The Reason”, which was released in May 2008. “The Reason” was FMQB's 2 most added album with 28 commercial radio station adds and CMJ Loud's 3 most added album with 92 college radio station adds after its first week!!!!"

Expected for immediate release, Dropclutch plans to push the video to a variety of locations including web, college television, mobile media, cable in addition to a variety of other media outlets, while touring in support of the full-length album, The Reason.
