It is time for everyone to pay attention to the large numbers of crimes involving domestic violence and abuse. It is rampant in our society. Not a day goes by that you don't read or hear about it. The next generation is being set-up for dysfunctional and abusive relationships.
This author reveals her experience of living with an abusive spouse for many years. Their home was filled with physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, financial, spiritual, and any other type of abuse you can name, yet they were strongly entrenched in the church.
She reveals how she came out of that relationship, and is now dedicating her life to helping those still enmashed in domestic abuse and violence. She is a retired public school teacher who is now writing and speaking in every venue made available to her. She is also a licensed minister.
She is determined to speak out and advocate against DAV because she did not find very much help when she was seeking it through the church community. What is required is education; starting with our children and the community as a whole. If you have not been involved in it, you probably won't understand it from the outside looking in.
Her first book was published June 2007: "A Letter to my Sisters: The way Out."
