Stamp, Trace and Learn to Print

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 13, 2008 – Burlington, ON - Many parents are looking for alternates to the big toy companies this holiday season.  Some families are weary of high tech gadgets, high ticket items and battery operated toys for preschoolers and would prefer gifts with a more Back to Basics focus.  The Learn to Print ‘My Name’ stamp from The Little Stamp Company makes a terrific and unique gift or stocking stuffer for little learners.

In the current economic times parents are being conscious of the choices they are making this holiday season and looking for products with value.  The Little Stamp Co has introduced a product that is both educational and fun. Emphasizing early literacy, the self inking stamps are personalized in a large connect the dots font so youngsters can stamp and trace their name on their own coloring pages, artwork, holiday and thank you cards to encourage printing in a fun and interactive way.  Children enjoy the tactile nature of the stamps, and parents love the mess free scenario created by the contained child and eco friendly ink.  The eco-friendly ink, unique to Little Stamp products, is waterbased, washable, and made with food grade ingredients.  As Kristen Chase, the co-founder of Cool Mom Picks states “you've got a fantastic little gift that's scores rare gift trifecta: educational, useful, and fun”.

Lee-Ann O’Neill, founder and mompreneur explains that the gift is a win win scenario: “Children enjoy stamping, creating, and seeing their names in print.  Parents think the idea is clever as it promotes indepedence, self confidence and early literacy skills.”  Teachers and daycare providers have been particularly receptive to the ‘Signature’ stamps as they understand the time it takes to ‘dot’ children’s names when tracing, and are enthusiastic about children working independently toward printing their names.

There are 3 customized options available because ‘Signature’ stamps are as unique as the kids they are made for.  Choices include ALL CAPS or Lower case, ink colour (Purple, Blue or Green) and of course, the child’s name.  The stamps retail for $24.95 and The Little Stamp Co is offering free shipping for the holiday season.

Company Bio

The Little Stamp Company launched the ‘Signature’ stamp in May 2008.   The concept was conceived when Canadian mompreneur, Lee-Ann O’Neill’s daughter was 3 years old.  Mackenzie was keen to learn how to spell and print her name.   It repeatedly took a long time to ‘dot’ Mackenzie’s name, so she could trace the letters.  Dotting her name to practise was a valuable learning process but it was time consuming.  As a teacher and parent Lee-Ann thought – why not create a fun stamp? After searching and searching for a suitable stamp the idea of the 'Signature' stamp was born.  Now, Mackenzie's younger brother, Kian, is proudly learning to print with his own 'Signature' stamp too!
