'Play it Again, Tim' Asbury Park Boardwalk Thrives with Unique Retailers

Tim McLoone's Restaurants Add Dimensional Dining to the Newly Redeveloped Asbury Park Boardwalk in New Jersey

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 12, 2008 – Asbury Park, NJ - A treasured name in New Jersey, Tim McLoone, aka "The Man" is a celebrated twenty-year restaurateur, community activist and musician.  As if he didn't have enough on his plate, Tim is always hungry for more! In 2008 he became part of the rebirth of Asbury Park. In addition to his many successful locations anchored around New Jersey, McLoone opened two new restaurants on the Asbury Park Boardwalk at the Fifth Avenue Pavilion.   Tim McLoone's Supper Club and Salt Water Beach Café offer eclectic cuisine, indoor and outdoor dining and live entertainment while enjoying spectacular views of the Atlantic.

Tim McLoone's Supper Club, an upscale, casual dining experience reminiscent of New York City supper clubs of the 1930s and 1940s, is Tim's homage to his commitment to the newly defined Golden Age of Asbury Park. The Supper Club is located on top of the Salt Water Beach Café, where you can catch headlining performers including Tim and his band. Both restaurants are ideal for booking Holiday celebrations and for pre and post theater dining and cocktailing. The Salt Water Beach Cafe is also known for their successful Sunday Jazz Brunch.

Other McLoone's New Jersey restaurant locations include:
McLoone's Rum Runner in Sea Bright, McLoone's Pier House in Long Branch, McLoone's at Favorites in Woodbridge
and McLoone's Rum Runner in Sea Bright. Tim has demonstrated his commitment to the environment by having his restaurants be the first in the state to receive "Green Certification" by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA).

Tim McLoone could best be described as a modern day Renaissance man.
Schooled at Harvard and accomplished in music, athletics and business, Tim nonetheless felt that there was something missing in his life back in 1993. He yearned to make a positive difference in the lives of the sick, the isolated elderly, the mentally disabled, and others in need.

Tim's love for music and his innate desire to help others became the genesis of Holiday Express along with the help of great friends and devoted volunteers. Tim is now the Founder and President of Holiday Express, a non profit organization which has brought the gift of human kindness to those in need during the holiday season each year, for over 15 years.  All of the McLoone's restaurants participate in numerous Holiday Express events providing meals to the needy. In addition to his philanthropic endeavors with Holiday Express, Tim has always enjoyed a close relationship with the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County, located in Asbury Park.
Tim has also directed the U.S. Men's Olympic Trials in 1998 and has served as musical director of the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony for NBC from 1998-2000. He serves as Director of Game Operations and Arena Announcer for the New Jersey Nets of the NBA, as well as Seton Hall University. He also owns The Running Store, an athletic boutique in Shrewsbury, NJ.
Tim resides in Little Silver, NJ. As much as he enjoys being "on the go", Tim is very much a homebody, cherishing his free time with his loving wife Beth and their four fabulous children.
