Hotel La Rosa de America celebrates one year of new ownership!

Looking back on one year of owning our La Garita, Alajuela hotel we have initiated many important changes. To improve customer service and international exposure, the hotel embarked on a major rejuvenation, with emphasis on customer service.

Nov. 13, 2008 - PRLog -- Hotel La Rosa de America is celebrating a year of new ownership.  Over the past year, our boutique Central Valley hotel has undergone many exciting changes to better serve guests arriving and departing from Costa Rica's International Airport.   Now, in recognition of this anniversary, we are introducing, for the 2008/9 high season, a number of new discount packages, renovated rooms and a variety of new services to assist our guests.

Our Hotel is located just 7 km west of the Juan Santamaria International Airport - specifically in the pretty town of La Garita, in Costa Rica's stunning Central Valley.   Just behind us rises the 9000 foot high POAS Volcano with it's two craters, one active and one dormant.   On the slopes of this volcano grow the world renowned Costa Rican coffee that our guests drink in the morning as part of our free breakfast.  (it travels from farm to cup a total of 15 km!)
Hotel La Rosa de America http://www.larosadeamerica.com  consists of twelve cabinas spaced around a lush, carefully tended tropical garden.  Central to the property is a pristine, well maintained swimming pool which is equally pretty during the day and at night.   Our hotel is close to many services such as quality restaurants, banking, and easy access to both bus routes and taxis.  As we are located west of the city of Alajuela, and not directly on a main road, we do not suffer the noise and pollution problems common to many other hotels.  Still, with easy access to the road that leads directly to Atenas and the Pacific coast, driving directions from our hotel to most major tourist areas are not a problem!
During the past year, we have made major improvements to many parts of the hotel.  We have a number of completely remodeled rooms and a completely remodeled reception area with an upgraded communications and computer area complete with high speed internet and wireless throughout the hotel.  Also, we have made major changes in our garden, now making it a centerpiece for the hotel.  The emphasis has been on creating an oasis of calm and beauty within the gates of our hotel for guests to relax and unwind before continuing on with their vacation.   We are host to many different birds on the property including motmots and are currently encouraging hummingbirds to feed in our gardens.
Another new addition is our Day Spa.  We now employ a licensed massage therapist and she offers a number of services at very reasonable prices.  From wraps to deep tissue massages, you will definitely feel more relaxed after your spa session!

At Hotel La Rosa de America, we have tailored all that we do to emphasize customer service.  We make every effort to respond quickly to customer emails, reservation requests, tourism queries and bookings of rental cars and day trips.  We are happy to give recommendations and trip planning advice to all our guests so as to ensure the best possible vacation in the time available.  We do not charge for this service.  We also offer package deals where we will be giving a 10% discount and a free airport meet and greet transportation service to those guests booking at least a three day stay with a guided tour, spa service or gym pass.  We have further details on our website at:  http://www.larosadeamerica.com/page4/page4.html

Finally, we have commenced a highly successful book donation program with over 400 contributions in five months.  Our goal is to provide assistance to the local public schools in the Western Central Valley and ultimately, to help increase literacy in Costa Rica.  Most public schools have next to no reading material for their students and so we hope to change this.  We request from our incoming guests to bring a few books in English, French or Spanish suitable for children and school students.

This has been a very successful year for our hotel.  We are hoping to continue making positive changes to our hotel in order to better serve our guests and to achieve similar or greater success in the 2009 year.  We look forward to having the opportunity to host you in the future!
