A growth of e-invoicing allows everyone to benefit from the great advantages of electronic invoicing in relation to the paper invoice. The EEI Platform focuses on the participation in the platform and co-operation between individual companies, trade organisations and the public segment to apply electronic invoices. In addition, participants will benefit from results achieved by activities concerning publicity, implementation, standardization, accreditation and promotion. Currently a lot of effort is put into composing a strong international group of Founding Partners which will form the roots of the European initiative. Meanwhile, over ten organisations have signed up as Founding Partner or participant with EEI Platform.
EEI Platform is a variant of the Dutch Electronic Invoicing Platform (ELFA), a grouping of organizations directly or indirectly linked to electronic invoicing: software providers, industry associations, government institutions and users. In the Netherlands Platform ELFA plays an important role in the implementation process of e-billing and provides through its interactive website with substantive information, news and backgrounds. In addition, it is possible for audiences to communicate with each other on electronic invoicing and related topics through several offered social instruments.
Participation in the EEI Platform is not only suitable for specialists such as billing service providers. It is also possible for users, banks, public institutions, educational institutions and industry associations to join and benefit from the initiative. In addition, organizations whose activities are neighbouring the main subjects such as credit-management organizations and financial institutions are also invited to participate.
