Canon have released pricing information for their much anticipated EOS 5D mk II full-frame digital in Australia today, just in time for the full force of the Christmas marketing engine to take effect.
Available as body only and with a 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens, this camera will attract only those with money to burn (not many of those around at the moment), or with an existing 5D who know the difference a full-frame sensor can make.
With an RRP of AU$4,299 for the body only and $5,799 for the lens kit, this is not a cheap option. Street prices are expected to come in around $4000 and $5200 respectively (source: http://www.camera-
Stock is expected late in November, but only one or two deliveries are likely before Christmas, so order early.
