New York City, NY – Entrepreneur Edgar Perez presented on November 5th a fantastic evening of upscale dining, Peru Grand Tasting Fall 2008, to an amazing crowd of New Yorkers. Mr. Perez also introduced Flavors of Peru’s newest cocktail, the PiscObama Sour, a perfectly refreshing take on the traditional Peruvian Pisco Sour, considering the President-elect who inspired the cocktail; PiscObama Sours were offered to guests as aperitif, before they sat down for a multi-course dinner. Following on his successes, Mr. Perez is now taking the Peruvian experience to Boston, on November 12th; guests will be treated at Taranta Restaurant by Chef Jose Duarte, who will present a very special Peruvian menu for the occasion, including premium Peruvian beer Cuzqueña.
Mr. Perez manages www.flavorsofperu.com and Facebook group “Support Edgar’s quest to transform Peruvian dining in New York City!” to promote his Peruvian concepts. One grateful participant from his events stated, “We have waited a long time to experience the best of Peruvian cuisine! I was thrilled to be able to experience for the first time authentic Peruvian ceviche, perfectly poured Pisco Sours, and a wonderful performance of Peruvian dance.” Another one added: “I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I could not put my fork down when tasting the Lomo Saltado. My taste buds are looking forward to another installment of this kind, while my heart can't stop dreaming about Peru!”
