BISHOP JOE SIMON: First to endorse Obama on foreign soil

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 08, 2008 – Chicago, IL - Joe Simon, Bishop Joe Simon is the first and only Preacher, American citizen to endorse Senator Barack Obama on foreign soil, to be the first Black President of the United States of America. "Global President Makes History"  
While visiting Italy, where he headlined the 2008 Porretta Soul Festival, Bishop Joe Simon laid flowers at a military memorial site near Porretta Terme, Italy.  

"I laid flowers at the military memorial site near Porretta Terme, Italy for soldiers who shed their blood and died in Iraq. I also endorsed Senator Obama to be the President of the United States of America, and I'm glad I was able to endorse Senator Obama on Italian soil, because if I had endorsed him in the United States they might have thought I'm endorsing him just because he's black. I am endorsing him because I believe he's a good person and we need new ideas, and we need new leadership, plus he will make a very good president."
