Yourlocal is a new local event listings resource and social network for people looking for things to do, places to go and people to meet. After launching in public beta in May, Yourlocal has now released local listings, event dates and reviews for New York and Boise with Boston, Santa Cruz, and Miami coming soon. Listings for each city are accessible through www.yourlocal.com.
Yourlocal provides detailed information and event listings that include:
• Up-to-date local listings and user-generated reviews of local events and places, including concert listings, local reviews, tour dates, restaurant ratings, event dates, local events art galleries, jazz clubs and more
• Customized event and place suggestions, generated by a recommendation engine that gets smarter over time
• An interactive calendar application that helps users keep track of events and places they and their friends plan to check out
• A social network that allows users to see what their friends and neighbors are doing in their city.

Yourlocal’s founders are brothers Scott and Daniel Stedman, co-founders of The L Magazine, New York City’s highest circulation event guide for active 18- to 34-year-olds.
Yourlocal expects to cover 75 metro several new markets across the country in the coming months.
