The Interaction Design Center (IxDC) is organizing World Usability Day 2008 in Lahore to be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008.
This globally-coordinated effort is part of simultaneous organization of 225 events in over 170 cities worldwide.
Usability is about making people's lives better by ensuring services and products important to life are well-designed and easy-to-use. This year's theme is 'Transportation' and speaks to the interaction of people and the vehicles, the challenges and issues infrastructure and modes for moving around in our environment.
The event is being held at University of Management & Technology (UMT) and promises informative sessions for all participants.
Featured sessions include:
• Keynote speech.
• Live video link with Google for demo of Google Map Maker.
• Case studies on Lahore Mass Transit, NHA e-Tag system and PIA e-Ticketing system.
• Documentary screening on Usability.
