AAPS and International Phalloplasty Institute launch educational seminar

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 06, 2008 – La Jolla, CA – The American Academy of Phalloplasty Surgeons and the International Phalloplasty Institute today announced the launch of an educational website.  InternationalPhalloplastyInstitute.org provides educational seminars and certification programs to general surgeons, urologists, cosmetic and plastic surgeons.  

The Penile Augmentation Surgery Seminar--a Level One AAPS Board Certification Seminar—will be held on November 28-30 and December 19-21 in La Jolla, CA.  Participants can choose to attend a one-, two- or three-day seminar.  Attendance at the seminar may be tax deductible. The seminar will be presented by Dr. Alexander A. Krakovsky, internationally renowned as a traveling speaker in the areas of cosmetic, plastic and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Krakovsky has been named one of the 100 Best Cosmetic Surgeons of the Millennium, and has been awarded both an Honorary Professorship at the South East Asia College of Cosmetic Surgery and an Honorary Membership in the French Society of Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Krakovsky has presented his medical, scientific, and practical work extensively worldwide. He has published over 100 medical articles, and 8 books and book chapters. Dr. Krakovsky has served as a presenter in over 60 medical meetings; as a consultant to numerous biomedical companies; and as a member of several Speakers Bureaus.

The American Academy of Phalloplasty Surgeons was founded in the United States in 1994. The Academy has approximately 80 members from countries around the world. The Academy is comprised of highly qualified professionals who perform penile plastic/cosmetic augmentation surgery. The membership includes an approximately equal number of urologists and plastic surgeons.
