Scott J. Dowd is the vice president of services for Proximex Corporation, a premier, physical security solution for policy-based incident discovery, connection and resolution. Scott joined Proximex in 2006 to oversee the entire division of technical support and to address and resolve presale and post-sale client concerns. He is an expert on organizational development and has more than two decades of experience in IT management at the senior level. Prior to joining Proximex, Scott was a product line sales director for NetIQ and held management positions within BMC Software, Compuware Corporation and MessageOne, where he focused on security command and control, business communications continuity, and automated communication. Additionally, Scott worked with such high profile companies as Microsoft Corporation, Boeing Corporation, U.S. Air Force, Wal-Mart, Countrywide Home Loans, Shell, Chevron and Philip Morris International. Scott holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in mathematics and secondary education from the University of Virginia. He is active within the community of Austin, Texas and enjoys his spare time by reading, engaging in family activities and sports.
