In the spirit of enhancing the college experience on campus and in teaching students about sisterhood and brotherhood, the Devastating Delta Tau Chapter (Delta Sigma Theta) host Delta Week on the campus of Cheyney University November 2nd through November 8th.
Founded in 1913 at Howard University, Delta Sigma Theta use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services and programs to promote human welfare. The Grand Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has a membership of over 200,000 predominately African-American, college-educated women. The Sorority currently has 900-plus chapters located in the United States, Tokyo, Japan, Okinawa, Japan, Germany, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Seoul, Korea, and St. Thomas and St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Devastating Delta Tau Chapter has planned a series of positive activities to promote out of class learning and development. Sunday, November 2nd – Church service at 5:30 pm in Vaux Logan Auditorium
Monday, November 3rd – Make Up 1.9.1.3. at 7pm in Tubman Hall Lobby
Tuesday, November 4th – Vote or Die Rally in the café 11:30am – 2pm, and
HOPE: election night skating party
9pm -12:30pm at C&A Skating Rink. (Proceeds will go to the Fox Chase Cancer Center)
Wednesday, November 5th – So You Think You Got Talent pt 2;
(Proceeds will go to the B.E.A.D.S Program)
In Marcus Foster 2nd Floor Auditorium 7:30- 10 pm
Thursday, November 6th – Up Close and Personal Fashion Show; Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm (in conjunction with the Student Government Cooperative Association, SGCA)- Ada Georges Dining Hall
Friday November 7th –Sistah 2 Sistah: Girl Talk 101 in Marcus Foster 2nd Floor 8 pm
Saturday November 8th – REDtrospective Party in Ada Georges Dining Hall 10pm – 2am
