Pam's career was interrupted when she became caretaker for ill relatives. "Once my family needed me, it took precedence over my love for fashion," she said. Still, she hoped to one day return to the rag business.
That happened 17 years ago, moving to Las Vegas from Beverly Hills, as a fashion buyer for hotel casinos, including the Hilton and Tropicana. "I really wanted to build something here," Pam proposed. "I saw a way women could have real designer clothes and accessories, without spending a fortune."
Ritzy Rags, at Rainbow & Sahara, has been the Vegas insider's secret for a decade. "We specialize in unique merchandise, continually changing, so our customers find treasures everyday." Ritzy Rags sees Channel, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Dolche&Gabbana and Dior to cite just a few; all the top names in fashion, shoes, handbags and accessories are there. "We offer everything from high couture to everyday unique. It's all about making style affordable."
Ritzy Rags merchandise comes from exclusive sources. "A lot is high-end shops' overstock; these days, inventory reductions and store closings are the rule, and our customers are the winners. We also have fashions from some of the wealthiest closets in Vegas," Pam explained. "Our consignments come when well-to-do Las Vegans are looking for extra closet space. They bring us fabulous fashions, worn once or never worn. They know Ritzy Rags has a great reputation, so we get first pick."
Pam's personal attention, remarkable selection and spectacular savings make Ritzy Rags a popular stop for tourists, as well as Las Vegas locals. "Everyone from our regular customers to frequent Vegas visitors and hotel concierges know we make our clients look great, whatever the occasion, at a fraction the cost they would spend elsewhere."
A successful business owner, Pam loves giving back to her community. Ritzy Rags regularly donates clothing to the women of Safe Nest. In addition to supporting Nathan Adelson Hospice, Pam is a member of Temple Beth Sholom in Summerlin.
Come see how so many Las Vegans can still afford to look so good. You'll quickly know why Ritzy Rags is a best-kept secret local insiders love, and a spot smart Vegas visitors check out every trip to town. Contact Barbara Kenig at 702.498.9808 or BarbaraKenig@
