Welcome to the Commercial Mover of the Year, 2009!
This year’s competition, sponsored once again by crate rental specialists PHS Teacrate, starts in earnest in December, following a similar format as the 2008 competition, but with some subtle changes to encourage wider participation.
The categories for entry are as follows:
· Commercial Move with fewer than 25 people
· Commercial Move with 25 or more people
· Commercial Move Partnership
The prizes for this year’s competition are also slightly different. Winners of each Category will win £1,000 worth of services from PHS Teacrate, with the Overall Winner also winning a further £3,000 of services as well as their Category prize.
The services on offer include a choice of:
· Crate rental
· Packaging
· Marketing e.g. advertising
· Donation to a charity of your choice
The prize can be made up of any one of the services, or a combination of the above, which must be claimed by the end of November 2009.
The closing date for entries is 30th January 2009, and entries must be for moves made between November 2007 and November 2008. The judging panel will this year be made up of Simon Johns, Sales Director of sponsors PHS Teacrate, a senior member of the BAR Secretariat, and a representative from the facilities management industry. As usual the winners will be announced at the 2009 BAR Conference, to be held in Brussels in May.
David Wicks, Managing Director of PHS Teacrate says, “We’re really pleased to be involved in the CMOTY for 2009, and have worked hard over the past few months to develop and plan the competition for the benefit of the commercial moving industry.”
If you are a member of the Commercial Movers Group (CMG) of the BAR, you should receive an application pack at the beginning of December. If, however you don’t receive an application pack, contact Caroline Williams of PHS Teacrate for a pack on 029 2080 9252 or carolinewilliams@
And so, the race is on. Who will be voted Commercial Mover of the Year 2009?
