Angry Dad Makes Videos To Help Parents Cut College Costs By $42,000

A Disgusted Father Gets His Revenge On The College Finance System

Nov. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- For parents who are worried about paying higher college costs in a weak economy, an angry  father from Norfolk, Massachusetts has produced a seven-part series of new videos to show parents how to eliminate $42,000 from college costs before taking out a single loan.

“These 2-minute videos,” says Paul Hemphill, “provide strategies to pay for college in ways you can’t find on a college consultant’s website.” Hemphill states that these videos are “a gut-level response to my own disgust with the college financial aid process.”

“Colleges are a business,” says Hemphill, “and their three objectives are to make money, make money, and make money. In total ignorance I paid over one hundred thousand dollars for my first-born’s education, and I should have paid well less than half of that amount.”

“The information on the first three videos” adds Hemphill, “is my way of getting revenge on the colleges who make no effort to educate parents on how to pay for college. Call any financial aid office of any college for help and all you’ll get is a laundry list of loan sources. In other words, they’ll be happy to show you how to get into more debt. That’s disgusting.”

Hemphill also offers advice on getting into college. A New Jersey college professor, with a daughter who is a senior in high school, recently sent Hemphill an email commenting on his videos: “We are always quoting you around here - especially your comment about how college admissions officers see [students as] a constant stream of packages in plain brown wrappers.  We love your advice to put a ‘big red bow’ on the package to stand out.  My daughter liked it too - the first 50 times I said it to her.”

Parents with college-bound students can subscribe to the free seven-part series by going to www.videocollegedad.com
