Andrew Regan Launches Educational Website About Climate Change

Polar explorer Andrew Regan has launched a new website aimed at educating children about the polar regions and climate change.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov 03, 2008 -
The Junior Polar Traveller website was designed based on input from Regan's sons, Sam, Jojo, and Alex. The three recently accompanied him on a trip to the North Pole.

The website is intended to be a fun, stimulating, and interactive resource tool for parents, teachers and children.  It includes information about the Arctic, Antarctic, global warming, and climate change. The site also points out how individuals can help curb climate change. By making learning about the polar regions fun, the site hopes to help educate the younger generation about climate change.

Another site- www.transantarcticexpedition.com- has also been launched in conjunction with the upcoming Moon-Regan Trans Antarctic Expedition. The Expedition will be lead by Andrew Regan and Andrew Moon.

This site will track the Trans Antarctic teams progress using live webfeeds and blogs, as well as giving information about the expedition itself.

As Regan explains: "One of the key aims of our expedition is to raise awareness of Antarctica’s environmental importance and the challenges that the region faces.

As part of the expedition the team will be conducting educational scientific experiments to highlight the extremities of climate conditions in the Antarctic region.

The experiments and expedition details will also be made available to be used by teachers in outreach programmes.
