Welding Trolley
My first impressions of this trolley are that it does look very well made – no signs of nuts and bolts in assembly, all seems and joints are welded together – hence the unit comes fully assembled upon delivery. This is a welcome relief really as so many other trolleys I have seen use alternative ways of assembly which seem far less suitable to wheeling round a piece of heavy machinery.
The good news carries on to the lower tray where a turned lip on the edge allows me to slot in my demo water cooler with ease – no catching or snagging here thankfully. I like the fact that there is a good amount of hand space between the top of my water cooler and the underside of the top tray so I can get my hand in to unscrew the lid of the cooler to fill it up without taking it off the trolley, nicely thought out!
Lifting my Tig Welder onto the trolley is easy – there is plenty of room on the top tray and with high side rails I feel happy that my machine is not going to fall out or become unstable. After attaching the gas bottle, which goes on with ease, I am ready to start welding. I am also pleased to see there are two side arms on which to store a torch or mains cable whilst I am traveling with it. This does mean I don’t drag my cabling or risk sitting it on top of the machine, again, a well thought out design feature.
Overall then this new welding trolley from R-Tech Welding Equipment looks great, is built very well and from a decent gauge of steel. I have room for my water cooler and space to store my cables and torch. It is definitely one of the better welding trolleys I have seen and should compliment their range of Tig welders and plasma cutters for which it was designed.
