Olympic Disc Golf petition sports news

PR Log (Press Release) – Nov 01, 2008 – www.DiscGolfBuzz.com ’s Olympic Disc Golf petition idea has been a great success thus far. The original online petition has collected over 550 signatures in just over one months time. However, the site has recently issued two new online petitions to better represent their efforts. The “Add disc golf to the 2016 Olympics” and the general “Add Disc Golf to the Olympic games” online petitions will now be the official copies to be sent to the IOC. The first petition was just a wacky idea that site owner Daniel Sias thought up while he and his family were watching the recent summer Olympic games, but when the petition recieved the response it did he knew he had to follow it through. In further research into the matter they have found that the 2012 Olympic games are already set in stone pretty much and that there is a good chance to make a run for the 2016 games, because the I.O.C is meeting sometime in 2009 to discuss the addition of two sports for that years events. Full support from the entire disc golf world would be needed to get enough signatures that quickly, but Mr. Sias says “We are up to the challange”.  He also added “if you have already signed the original could you please sign and help spread the word about the two new online petitions as well?” You can get the petition links from their website. The site has already held one live Olympic Disc Golf petition signing, but that was just the beginning of their mission.
