Chicago, IL – Little Hands Learning Center pushes voting throughout Chicago and within—showing it’s never too early to teach and reward!
4 and 5 year olds voting---may sound young, but it’s happening at Little Hands Learning Center preschool in Chicago’s south side Beverly neighborhood. The youngsters will be rolling up their sleeves and casting a ballot in “mini-polls”
This is the 1st time the academically diverse school has offered the polling experience to their students. “We realize this a vital time in our country and if the children learn by voting, it may help parents vote and ultimately spill out and encourage the community to vote,” said Brent.
Encouragement doesn’t just start and stop with the students. ANYONE who votes in Chicago can bring in their voting stub to the school on November 4, 2008 and enter into a drawing to win a free luxury vacation. The raffle drawing is the extra measure the administration is taking to get ANYONE motivated to cast a ballot in this historic race.
