Benefit Concert for Reverend Dr. Timothy Wright - November 26, 2008 at 7PM

A benefit concert in support of Reverend Dr. Timothy Wright, who was injured in a car accisent in July of this year, one which fatally injured his wife, Rev. Betty Wright and grandson, D.J. 100% of the proceeds will go to Kessler Rehab. in NJ.

Oct. 30, 2008 - PRLog -- NEWARK, NJ, — The New Hope Baptist Church will host a benefit concert in support of Reverend Dr. Timothy Wright, Pastor of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, NY entitled “A Night of Thanks”, Wednesday, November 26, 2008.  Doors open at 6PM; concert begins at 7PM.  The benefit concert will take place at The New Hope Baptist Church, located at 106 Sussex Avenue in the City of Newark, NJ, under the leadership of Pastor Joe A. Carter.  

Scheduled to appear are noted Gospel Artists from Newark and surrounding areas:  Evangelist Lorraine Stancil, Pastor Milton Biggham & The Mt Vernon Baptist Church Mass Choir w/ Minister Donald Malloy, Dr. Linell Andrews & One Voice, George Sykes w/ SIII & The Truth and Reverend Donnie Harper & The New Hope Baptist Church Mass Choir w/gospel legend and Grammy-Award winner Dr. Emily “Cissy” Houston.

“A Night of Thanks,” is a celebration of life and restoration for Reverend Wright, who was injured in a car accident in Pennsylvania in July of this year, which fatally injured his wife, Rev. Betty Wright and their grandson, D.J.

Pastor Joe A. Carter, of The New Hope Baptist Church in the City of Newark) believes, “In this time of uncertainty, our resolve and belief is in the God of the universe, who stayed the hand of death from our friend Dr. Wright.  We (the Body of Christ) are a tight-knit community of faithful, believing that God will heal, deliver and restore our beloved friend – for every Word of God is true.”

Currently, Reverend Timothy Wright is undergoing extensive physical therapy at Kessler Center for Rehabilitation in New Jersey, where his daily medical expenses are in excess of $4,000.  

A Free Will offering will be received on the night of the concert and 100% of the proceeds from this benefit concert will go directly to the Kessler Institute, to offset Dr. Wright’s medical care.
