An Inspiring Story of a Woman’s Courage to Break Free of Abuse and Addiction

In 2007, over 900,000 cases of child abuse occurred; 700,000 incidents of domestic violence were reported, and one million marriages ended in divorce. These are the dire statistics that lead author, Sandy Cicero to write her book, They Do Remember.

Oct. 31, 2008 - PRLog -- Sandy Cicero bravely shares her story of growing up in an abusive environment, what she endured and how she survived.  It is not a book that attempts to explore every facet of what’s wrong in today’s society, but a heartfelt account of how a woman stopped living in denial to live a life of happiness and freedom.  It is about breaking the pattern of abuse and stopping destructive behaviors born out of neglect and abuse as a child.  Cicero believes one cannot get over it, but can get through it to the other side and live a soul-satisfying, peaceful and fulfilling life.

As a young child, Cicero spent five years in and out of the system, being shipped from an orphanage to foster care homes.  At 14, Cicero ran away and spent her teenage years at a commune in Oregon.  Her story of survival is nothing short of miraculous.  Cicero relates how she stopped her addictive and destructive patterns and took control of her life.

Her story will touch your heart and soul.  This book is a godsend for anyone who is in need of breaking addictive patterns, getting out of abusive relationships and healing their life.
