Jarvis Green Hosts 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Gala to Benefit Single Mothers

On November 15, 2008, Jarvis Green will host the 2nd annual Jarvis Green Foundation Wine Tasting Gala at Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, MA. The foundation promises the evening to be an unforgettable event, "filled with fine friends, fine hors d' oeuvres and of course fine wine".

This event is dedicated to helping others and allowing participants to walk away with a feeling of goodness. Jarvis Green has made it his goal to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina and will be joined by some of his Patriots teammates (i.e., Adalius Thomas, Jabar Gaffney, Stephen Neal, Eric Alexander, Ray Ventrone, James Sanders, Logan Mankins, David Thomas, Deltha O'Neal, Jonathan Wilhite, Gary Guyton, Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk, Vince Wolfolk, Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi, etc.)and other local celebrities in hosting this fundraising event with event sponsors, Chris Gasbarro's Fine Wine & Spirits, NBC 10, ECC Style, Rosciti, Dunkin' Donuts and Upscale Living Magazine.

In addition to the culinary brilliance of the chefs at Johnson & Wales, guests will be able to enjoy live performances by Ameranouche.

The activities will include a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia and other rare auction items, such as a once in a lifetime opportunity to win a chance to receive a private dinner with Jarvis and other one on one opportunities with other players.


This will truly be a magical event that will help to make a much needed difference in the lives of our fellow Americans.

Why:                
A Louisiana native, Green was deeply touched by the devastation Hurricane Katrina caused.  He has since committed himself to helping the victims, especially single mothers, get their lives back on track and remain in the hearts and minds of others who may be able to help.

ABOUT DEFENSIVE END JARVIS GREEN, #97 - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Jarvis Green, of Donalsonville, LA, is a defensive lineman for the New England Patriots. Green was drafted with the 126th overall pick (4th round) of the 2002 NFL draft. One of the most dominating defensive linemen in LSU history, Jarvis finished his career ranking fourth on the school's career-record list with 20 quarterback sacks for 123 yards.  In seven NFL seasons, Green has started 31 of 95 games while recording 168 tackles (110 solo) 59 assists, and 25 sacks.
