The Pacific Northwest has long been home to good coffee and innovative technology companies, so it's only natural for Bistro Buzz, a start up based in Portland, Oregon to combine these two traditions in its latest product. Bistro Buzz is a web based suite of marketing and customer management tools for independent coffee house owners who are looking to gain an edge on their competition. Currently, the product is in its final round of beta testing and the company's founders are looking forward to a commercial release by the end of the year.
"We started Bistro Buzz as a side project to help a local coffee house with their online marketing," commented Mary Vukadinovich, the company's Marketing Manager. "As many of us have coffee experience, the project quickly grew into our current product afer realizing that the problems it addresses can help all independent coffee house owners. Our clients are all face the same problems being that they are small business owners and do not have the time or budget to implement a true CRM system like their corporate competitors are doing."
Bistro Buzz is a web based program that provides coffee house owners with the tools they need to track their customer base, manage rewards program, and conduct online marketing campaigns through blogging, email, and incentives. "The shops we initially worked with were all in the same position. They had a great product and a great looking shop, but had no way of reaching out to their customers. They were frustrated and because they are small business owners, it isn't realistic for them to spend thousands of dollars on a POS or CRM system. To address this, we built in the basics of what a coffee house needs and we made it easy to use. We may not have a POS at this time, but Bistro Buzz will still allow you to manage cash cards, rewards tracking, plus you have a whole marketing suite so you can track birthdays, send newsletters, and track customer behavior. Our clients are finding that they are saving hundreds of dollars each month and creating loyal customers because they now have a way to reach beyond the counter and create awareness with their customers."
Bistro Buzz is currently in its final round of beta testing. Coffee houses who are interested in using the software can request a free account by visiting www.bistrobuzz.com. Once the commercial release is available, the company will charge new customers a small monthly fee that is estimated to be around $10/month.
