Sierra Guitars is pleased to announce Matthew Mayfield, guitarist and singer-songwriter, as the newest endorser of Sierra Guitars! Matthew plays the Sierra Sunrise Auditorium Guitar in Black.
Matthew Mayfield remarked, “It's rare to find an instrument that can consistently produce beautiful tone night after night. I've only had my Sunrise for a few weeks, and it's already proven to be the perfect guitar for the stage, the dressing room, and the studio.”
Signed by Epic Records in 2005, Matthew Mayfield, frontman of Moses Mayfield, has seen how the music business often trades industry commerce over real craft. When Columbia Records took over in 2006, the release of their much-anticipated full-length album, aptly named, "The Inside" sadly became a business casualty of the label. Now, after six years of national touring, Matthew offers his most honest, dedicated songs yet in solo performance. "My heart is in it," the songwriter says. With his latest release in 2008, “The Fire EP,” Matthew delivers a raw, stripped, and soulful sound that takes the listener straight into the heart of songs. Matthew Mayfield is finally outside again: you can hear it in his voice.
