Ways With Words is the online home for writers and readers. It's part advice column for writers, part reference resource, and part writing community. It is meant to be a place to provoke thinking, a place where writers can collaborate and share thoughts and ideas.
In the future, Ways With Words will continue to offer advice and thoughtful insights. It will also feature interviews with professionals in the field of writing and publishing; the first of such interviews will be with Elisabeth Whitehead, an rising star in poetry who published her first chapbook, a pilgrim's traveling kit, this summer.
Isaac Sweeney, a university writing instructor, experienced editor, and published writer, started the site. He has publshed poetry, fiction, magazine articles, and hundreds of newspaper articles. He teaches composition at James Madison University, where he helps encourage young minds to appreciate reading and writing.
