The Williamsburg Live Songwriter Competition is a JezebelMusic.com event at the center of the Williamsburg Music scene, the most creative and collaborative neighborhood in New York City, perhaps even the world.
Currently in it's fifth year of production, this high profile competition has emerged as a national event, receiving submissions from across the country and even abroad. From a pool of 1,000 applicants who submit their original recorded songs, 150 will be chosen to compete in the live competition – eight consecutive nights – in front of music industry professionals, journalists, peers and fans.
The Ashy L Bowz was 1 of the150 applicants to be selected for the first round of live performances out of over 1,000 other applicants. They are also one of only a handful of Hip Hop groups to ever be selected for this competition in its five year history. They will be performing live November 16, 2009 at Lucky Cat in Williamsburg, Brooklyn New York.
