When a small nonprofit social service agency experienced an explosion in demands for its services, fundraising and recruiting volunteers became a major focus of the organization. In retooling its public relations efforts, Center of Hope in Wichita, KS, turned to The Multimedia Room to create a website to document its history and services, showcase its successes and establish recognition of the agency in the community.
Center of Hope is in its 25th year of providing emergency financial assistance to clients, most often in the form of rent and utility bill payments. Counseling, case management and referral services are also provided. The Center of Hope website is the agency’s first effort to take their story to the community using the most powerful and intimate communication tool available…the Internet.
