Worldwide News: ‘Cornerstone Worldwide’ – Bush Open To Second Stimulus Package.

“Cornerstone Worldwide”: The White House signals its receptiveness to second stimulus package.

Oct. 27, 2008 - PRLog -- Cornerstone Worldwide analysts are thought to believe that a second US stimulus package may be within weeks of sanction by Congress.

The news comes after comments made by US Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke at a House Budget Committee hearing earlier in the week.

Cornerstone Worldwide believe that any new stimulus package would be larger than the first which saw $168 billion returned to consumers by way of a tax rebate. Sums of $300 billion have been aired.

Analysts at Cornerstone Worldwide apparently harbor reservations as to the effectiveness of another rebate but concede that the mere possibility is in line with the government’s vows to do whatever it takes to avert a protracted recession in the US.

Cornerstone Worldwide believe that if the new package is passed by Congress, it will more than likely be aimed at investment in infrastructure and the creation of jobs rather than a tax rebate to consumers.
