The Canton Fair with its full name of the Chinese Export Commodities Fair is held twice a year in April and October and was initiated in the Spring of 1957. It is renowned as China’s most prominent trade fair with the various kinds of exhibits with largest attendance and business turnover. Possessed with a comprehensive multi-functional event of international importance, the fair can attract thousands of exhibitors (15,000 companies 103rd Session) both at home and abroad every session.
Forty - eight Trading Delegations comprising numerous China's best foreign trade corporations with sound financial capabilities and credibility take part in the fair. These include foreign trade companies, factories, scientific research institutions, foreign joint venture enterprises, foreign owned enterprises and private enterprises.
