On October 8, 2008, the CPSC urged manufacturers to include the stamp on all compliant drain covers in order to easily identify compliant covers.
“When the CPSC asked pool and spa drain cover manufacturers to include ‘VGB 2008’ on all compliant drain covers, we immediately halted production to engrave the mark on each of our covers,” said Mjelde. “Every compliant drain cover manufactured by AquaStar will feature that mark.”
