At The US Open, IDS Serves Up Brainstorm and NVIDIA® Quadro® FX 5600 SDI by PNY

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 29, 2008 – The final Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year, the US Open, is one of the largest sporting events of the year.  IDS, an innovator in live sports event technology and an IBM Business partner that was part of the IBM Technical Solutions team for the U.S. Open, was on hand to deliver the real-time 3D graphics and statistics for the live broadcast of this prestigious sporting event.  The system that IDS relied on included Brainstorm and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 SDI by PNY Technologies.  

IDS graphics systems, which use Brainstorm’s software and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 SDI from PNY, were integrated into the broadcaster production suites for CBS, USA and World Feed.   IDS supplied the television interface and the graphics system as part of its services provided on behalf of IBM, the technology sponsor for the US Open.  According to David Lunghino, vice president of IDS:  “We chose the Brainstorm / NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 SDI by PNY solution because it allows us to deliver state-of-the-art graphics, including animations for both HD and SD productions.”
