Are you ready for some disc golf? This weekend is the big Mesquite Open Disc Golf tournament at Paschall park in Mesquite,TX. It will be the first Disc Golf tournament ever for the city. It starts on Saturday 10-25-08 8:30am-5:00pm with last minute sign in and doubles practice runs.Then the actual tournament is on Sunday starting at 7:00am for warm-ups and player meeting with the first rounds starting at 9:00am. Also to add to the firsts for this weekend, be sure to look for www.DiscGolfBuzz.com on Saturday, a new disc golf promotion website that is the home of the “Get Disc Golf into the Olympics” online petitions. The site is kicking off their “Support our Sport” campaign, and have picked this tournament to debut their real edition of the Olympic Disc golf petition.
