Mr. K. Balachandar, the veteran Film Director, said he became aware of the importance of eye donation after hearing a speech on Eye Donation, by Dr. Mohan Rajan at a Joint Meeting of the Rotary Club of T.Nagar, Rotary Club of Velachery and other Rotary Clubs, organized at the Rajan Eye Care Hospital at T. Nagar on Thursday, 28th August 2008.
Dr. Mohan Rajan gave a very detailed account of the status of corneal blindness in India, and how spreading the awareness about Eye Donation can help give eyesight to millions of blind persons in India.
