Choe Khor Sum Ling Center, Bangalore, releases it newsletter – Alamkara

CKSL releases its newsletter – Alamkara. The quarterly publication is primarily to inform the public about the current and future activities at the Center and Dharma events elsewhere in India.

Oct. 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Choe Khor Sum Ling (CKSL), Bangalore, is pleased to announce the release of the first issue of its newsletter – Alamkara (Ornament). The quarterly publication is intended to be “an added forum for communication on a wide variety of issues related to CKSL’s activities”, for informing about Dharma events elsewhere in India and to “nourish all with tidbits of Dharma”.
The first issue of the newsletter features the teaching given by Lama Zopa Rinpoche at the Center in March 2008. “The Buddhist culture” section highlights the biography of Arya Asanga, a great Indian Pandit from the Nalanda University. “Useful links” lists the web-sites of Dharma centers, magazines and monasteries.

The newsletter was released by Ven. Khangser Rinpoche from Sera Jey monastery on September 28, 2008 during the teaching on “Healing through Loving Kindness”.

CKSL is a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation & Study center established in Bangalore by Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche at the behest of His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama in 2003. As such, CKSL is a part of an international network of Dharma Centers known as Foundation for Preservation of Mahayana tradition (FPMT), under the spiritual guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. CKSL offers courses in various Buddhist meditation techniques and teachings on various aspects of the Graduated Path to Enlightenment. Teachings are offered free to the public and are conducted in English or in Tibetan (with translation in English).
