With a growing staff and a need for additional room, Ziphany obtained new office space in a downtown Buffalo building in December of 2007. After extensive renovation and restoration, the new facility is a modern adaptation of an historic structure in the center of Buffalo’s business district.
With the new location’s close proximity to Buffalo International Airport as well as the Canadian border, home to Ziphany’s several Ontario-based demand response customers - it has proven a long-term strategic move for the company.
The additional space has allowed Ziphany to expand in a number of ways. Brian Palka, Principal and VP of Sales, says that, “Acquiring the new downtown facility was the most natural next step for our growing company. We now have ample room for our recently assembled Metering & Installation Services team, our newest account managers and operations personnel, and last but not least, our ever-expanding Demand Response Monitoring & Control Center, which is monitored 24-7 and utilized by energy companies all over North America.”
Rather than invest in the costly infrastructure and the necessary operations staff themselves, utilities, aggregators and other energy companies can take advantage Ziphany’s hosted back-office software applications, tier one data centers, and experienced workforce to facilitate operations, such as demand response. Now Ziphany’s most recent company upgrade comes in the form of an updated, spacious facility to meet the needs of its growing customer base.
