“Looking for a way to please and impress those special ladies? Have a look at the new holiday color silk scarf design as well as others done in the latest fashion color combinations”
All scarves on the site are personally hand painted by Ballenberger. “We do get offers from China and India to make scarves” states Ballenberger, “but that’s not what this is all about. Wearable art is being offered here, not something cranked out by the thousands in a factory in China.” She adds, “Each scarf is unique and is a little different because all are painted by hand, one at a time. It would be practically impossible to make two that are exactly alike.”
“That doesn’t mean prices are through the roof, however. A five foot long hand painted scarf that is 15 inches wide sells for less than 30 dollars during the holiday sale” continued Ballenberger. “Some of the smaller square shapes are even less.”
“Also included this season is a red and green colored floral scarf for those who want some holiday colors”, she said. “Since the image on the scarf is an iris flower, it can be worn throughout the year and not just at holiday time.”
She added, “One of the great properties of silk is that it holds colors extremely well. These scarves can be hand washed or dry cleaned, and they will look fresh for many years. And some people don’t even wear the scarves but rather buy frames and hang them on a wall as pieces of artwork.”
